Ramadan is an important time in the Islamic Calendar for the Muslim community. During the month of Ramadan, our brothers and sisters in the Muslim Community will show their faith and devotion to Allah by fasting. Fasting is an act of strictly avoiding any consumption of food or drinks. However, Ramadan is not just about fasting. It is also about reflection, prayer, and community. During Ramadan, after fasting, the people will get together with their friends and family and enjoy a feast as they put into practice the act of charity which is also one of the ‘Five Pillars of Islam’ that essentially form the basis of how Muslims live their lives.
